An engineer by training, I obtained my degree in Telecommunication Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in 2002. I started my career working in software development for highly technological companies such as GMV and Airbus, gaining during this period an excellent understanding of technology, an asset that I have been applying throughout the rest of my career across many other areas. It was also during this time that I got my first experiences with project management, using both classic project management methodologies (PMP) and Agile.
In 2008 where I acquired advanced business management knowledge and took special interest in operational excellence.
Once I finished my MBA I worked during four years as Business Process and Demand Manager for Amadeus IT Group, applying Business Process Management and Lean methodologies at a top tier international company. Thanks to this first experience with Lean Management I also started collaborating in parallel with several high growth and startup companies where I explored everything related to Lean Startup and Design Thinking.
In 2015 I joined S21sec, a Sonae group cibersecurity company, as responsible for global improvement in accordance with Sonae’s Improving Our Work, a Lean program internationally recognized for its excellence and winner of the Kaizen Lean Award. During this experience, where I partnered with Kaizen Institute, I gained a much deeper understanding of the philosophy behind Lean Management, moving beyond the methodology and grasping what builds a true Operational Excellence culture. It was also very interesting combining Lean with all the very practical matters and nuances in a high technological and changing cibersecurity company, which lead me to learning all about Management 3.0, a personal rediscovery of the Agile philosophy applied to team management.
All these experiences have provided me with extraordinary clear insight into good management, understanding management as the science of getting things done through teams of people. It is so that I have established myself as an independent business consultant and have built the Cube of Good Management, which condenses what is key in Lean, Agile and Process Management, in an attempt to share this knowledge with as many organizations as possible.
